What Our Parents Are Saying

The 2020-2021 school year was one like no other and created challenges and obstacles that teachers, students and families could have never imagined. As a first grade teacher, it became clear just how much in-person instruction was necessary for my students to grow and thrive, yet this was not possible. Forming pods became a saving grace for many students.

I had the privilege of working with Miranda as she taught and guided a group of my students through the curriculum and created her own lessons and enrichment activities that aligned with the first grade standards. When Miranda started working with my students, I observed an immediate shift in their engagement, focus and quality of work. The students were always excited to share what they were working on in their pod, which often included a science experiment, creative story or STEAM activity.

Miranda frequently reached out to clarify assignments and ask questions. She did an amazing job of differentiating the work for each student and modifying writing assignments to meet their particular needs. I am truly grateful to have had the opportunity to work with Miranda this year and appreciate all the hard work and expertise she employed to help my group of pod students thrive during a global pandemic.

Miranda's expertise and experience has actually changed the trajectory our son had with school, he was really struggling at first. She was able to identify challenges and developed a tailored method that worked so well for him! Miranda also highlighted his strengths and pointed us to crucial resources that will get him on a course so that he can continue to make strides and not struggle as much. I can't imagine what first grade would have been like without her loving talents!

Miranda was an incredible tutor. She always came prepared, was organized, communicated very well, and the kids loved her! Miranda was particularly helpful with phonic and reading and helped our daughter develop a love of reading! Would happily hire her again!

Miranda has been wonderful for our daughter, who struggled to navigate the shift back and forth between digital and physical learning formats throughout the pandemic. Miranda set up a system that helped our daughter stay organized and also got her more comfortable with the different technology platforms. Miranda is compassionate and kind and our daughter felt loved and supported throughout, and with her improved organization and grades, also gained back much of her confidence in herself. We are deeply grateful for Miranda!

Miranda taught my child in an academic pod setting during the pandemic school year. With patience, encouragement, and a detailed teaching plan Miranda guided my child to an impressive level of achievement. Miranda has not only an amazing talent to teach, but also a skill to reach the children. She was amazing at understanding friendships and the relationships among the pod kids and knew how to draw the best out of each of them. As parents, we were happy to see our child thrive during the unusual school year and we know it couldn’t have happened without Miranda. Thank you Miranda for being a part of our pod and for teaching our kid!

Our rising 4th-grader and Miranda worked together to develop the useful daily habit to ensure her assignments for school are completed, packed in her backpack, and ready to go the night before - making for more efficient mornings for her and us. Miranda also worked on habits to help our student work through her assignments successfully. Our child’s teachers noticed a huge difference in class after Miranda started working with our kiddo.
