About Meyerson Education Services.

When I was a classroom teacher, I noticed that some of my most intelligent and capable students were not reaching their full potential in school because they had not developed key Executive Functioning skills. These are the skills that help us break down a task and take it from start to finish while managing obstacles along the way. When I began incorporating executive function (EF) coaching into my daily teaching, I saw dramatic improvements in my students' work and ability to follow through on assignments. It also improved their written work!

Over time, as a department chair, inclusion teacher, and Edtech consultant, I saw that the more I integrated EF training and a focus on reading and writing into my teaching practice, the more students were able to reach their full potential.

To develop executive skills, students need guidance and practice, something they often do not get in school. Four years ago, I founded Meyerson Education Services (MES) to work one-on-one with students and families to provide science-backed academic coaching and to advocate for students. At Meyerson Education we teach EF skills alongside our subject area tutoring. This unique approach, integrated into all MES services and Academic Coach training, is built upon my decade of experience in the classroom, five years in the field of educational technology and specialized training in reading comprehension, writing, and executive functioning.
